AI and Safety Expert (Research and Development)​​

Assignment:

  • Coordination a multidisciplinary team in our research projects

  • Monitoring of science and market key trends of AI and Safety

  • Participation in international committee work

  • Development of plan, concept and research reports and communicate results to our engineering teams and management

  • Communication with academia and industry organizations

         Expectations:

  • Master’s degree (preferred PhD) in one of the following areas: computer science, engineering, artificial intelligence

  • Further education such as Functional Safety, Autonomous Driving, Machine Learning or similar

  • 10+ years of experience in ADAS/AD domain with key players (OEM/Tier-1/2) in Automotive industry

  • Project Management experience (familiarity with modern development processes SCRUM, DevOps, MLOps etc)

  • Excellent understanding and proven implementation experience with ISO 26262, SOTIF, UL4600, ASPICE

  • Certification as AFSP or equivalent

  • Hands-on experience with state-of-the-art computation platforms

  • Desirable: teaching / trainer’s experience, publications in renowned international scientific magazines, membership in scientific / engineering societies

  • Excellent technical leadership competences

  • Excellent English spoken and written (other languages are highly desirable)

Assignment:

  • Initiate and lead the development of safety plan and synchronize it with project plan and external stake holders

  • Support management strategic decisions from safety side

  • Work with other departments such as Quality, Cyber Security to develop state-of-the-art development processes

  • Support the development of ISO 26262, SOTIF, UL4600 work products

  • Lead the development of a Safety Case

  • Communicate with certification authorities

  • Develop competence management plan

  • Provide coaching to internal employees

  • Analyze the results of different stages of development and address them in a systematic way (progress reports, tracking and escalation)

         Expectations:

  • Master’s degree in electrical engineering or Computer Science

  • 10+ years of experience as safety manager in automotive industry / additional experience to work with safety critical systems in other industries desirable)

  • At least 5 years of experience in ADAS/AD domain

  • Experience in effective working with suppliers/OEM

  • Hands-on experience with ISO 26262, SOTIF, UL4600, Cyber Security

  • Hands-on experience with safety concepts development as well as performance of Safety Analysis such as HARA, STPA, FMEDA, FTA

  • Understanding of modern HW and SW Architectures, Real-Time Operating Systems, AUTOSAR concept and tools

  • Excellent technical leadership competences

  • Excellent English spoken and written (other languages are highly desirable)
